State-administered program, giving employees up to 20 weeks/year for medical leave, bonding, caring for a family member, safety leave, or a qualifying exigency leave
During leave employers are required to hold employees’ positions and treat them as an employee, i.e. pay health insurance, make retirement contributions etc.
